Volunteer Opportunities

Support Our Mission as a Volunteer

More than just volunteering - Our volunteers save lives.

Volunteering with DKMS Africa plays a crucial role in our mission to ensure that every individual in need of a blood stem cell transplant finds a suitable donor and gets a second chance at life.

What you can expect:

Since 2022, the crucial aid provided by young volunteers has made registration campaigns at numerous institutions and organizations highly successful, leading to the inclusion of more than 100,000 new donors in our ever-expanding database.

Looking for a fun and meaningful way to make a difference? Join our team of volunteers at DKMS and help us give blood cancer patients hope for a second chance at life.

Areas where you will be giving your assistance:

Donor Drives:

Often organized at community centers, schools, tertiary institutions or workplaces, provide volunteers with an opportunity to engage with potential donors.

  • Assisting donors throughout the registration process, making sure that all required information is accurately collected.

Wellness and Awareness Days:

The volunteers from DKMS bring knowledge and resources to educate and promote awareness of blood stem cell donation.

  • Through interactive presentations, to educate audiences on the life-saving impact of becoming a donor and provide insight into the donation process itself.
