Abu and Ayyub need stem cell donors

Abu and Ayyub Need Blood Stem Cell Donors

Abu-Taalib (7) and Ayyub (4), the children of a single mother, are both facing Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). Abu-Taalib, who dreams of becoming a lawyer, and Ayyub, with his love for art and toy cars, need support as their family works to raise awareness and find stem cell donors for transplants.

Before their diagnosis, Abu-Taalib showed symptoms that were initially thought to be related to ADHD, which didn't raise immediate concern, especially since their father had faced similar challenges. However, after a karate practice, Abu-Taalib walked into a pole and later seemed disoriented. The incident rushed them to the ER. A CT scan revealed brain inflammation, and an MRI confirmed a diagnosis of ALD: Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a rare genetic disorder that damages the myelin sheath covering nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

Just ten days later, tests revealed that his younger brother, Ayyub, whom they had hoped might be a stem cell match, also had ALD. This devastating news has profoundly affected their family, as the disorder now threatens to strip both boys of their childhood joys and future dreams.

The only glimmer of hope lies in a stem cell transplant, through finding a match. We are pleading for help: registering as a stem cell donor could be the miracle that saves their lives.

Please, consider registering today. Your selfless act could give Abu-Taalib and Ayyub the chance to live, to grow, and to dream again.

The entire registration process, from registration to donation, will be at no cost to you.
